Bound in full brown calf, edges rubbed, hinges repaired, marbled boards, spine replaced, bookplate of Joseph Smith, 4 folding tables, 11 folding large plates all intact and unfoxed. Text block very good, clean and tight. A scarce and important tome. Roy, who designed and built some unique equipment at the time which eventually helped to conclude the disagreement over the difference in longitude between the Paris and Greenwich observatories.
