This is NOT one of the later copies by Wedgwood of this pattern, but an original plate as represented in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Wedgwood Museum The design for this plate was suggested by John the son of Josiah Wedgwood to celebrate the friendship between the Wedgwood and Darwin families. Extraordinary HAVILAND LIMOGES Gold Arts Crafts Teapot Sugar Bowl Creamer Tray. An exceptional Haviland Limoges tea set comprising of a teapot, sugar bowl, creamer and tray all in near mint condition. The set is embellished by etched poppy designs with small colored stones embedded in the porcelain and was decorated by licensed Limoges artist "Osborne" in the early 1920's. The tray measures 18" x 13" and the teapot is 6.75" in height. This is one of the most spectacular Limoges productions that we have come across and has to be seen "in the flesh" to be truly appreciated. A 12" BRONZE JAPANESE BUDDHIST TEMPLE VASE. This vase dates to the latter part of the C18th and is beautifully patinated. It has Sanskrit (bonji) characters on its body each representing a divinity. The vase looks to have been an incense burner, or water boiler and was originally made for a Buddhist Temple. A truly beautiful piece and guaranteed genuine.
